I like the 10-13s better im saying in a pathetic attempt for a refresh it would be very easy to swap and trust me over time lots of guys on the forums will have done it "in short they put no effort in the refresh"
the fact this refreshed car will only be around for 2014 and 2015 blows my mind...they should have stuck with what they had and made a new one 2015 as there will be
-2015 challenger and/or barracuda with 6.2 supercharged hellcat hemi
-2015 50th anniversary (complete new modern look) mustang
-2016 Camaro and 2016 charger that wont be a surprise since it will share engines with the challenger and cuda
I know some people don't like comparing these cars but face it all the magazines, car tv shows, youtube, websites all compare these cars, I think I might buy a cheap used 2010 2ss and just wait it out but im really disappointed with all of this, all of you loyal guys will also wait but they are going to lose a lot of sales waiting until 2016
Car companies will often do some kind of refresh to get buyers in. Otherwise the last 2 years of a model would have no sales. Ford did it in 93 and with the 03-04 Termi Cobra and Mach 1.
And you can't really compare the refresh to the Mustang or Charger. Mainly because the Mustang has had that same retro platform since 2005. I know they did a huge make-over but it's a dead look. The car is skinny as heck, has no body contours, the back was flat (up until 2010), the engines sucked (up until 2011), the rims were boring and skinny and not even staggered. Basically, they need an all new platform BAD. And the Charger is just as bad. It's too heavy, too expensive, sucks up too much gas, and is slow as heck. They did a revision on the body but that car needs a complete make-over just as bad as the Mustang. And it's been around for almost a decade now. So both of those cars are hurting.
The Camaro has only been out since 2010. It has the newest, freshest, and overall best look, performance, price, etc when all things are considered. It is still a baby compared to the Mustang and Charger. The Challenger is just a baby also but it needs to be rethought as well. Chevy is just trying to keep up by doing an update this soon. But I agree that they probably should have saved any changes for 2015. And they should have thought a little bit more about that grille and those taillights.
