Had a 2014 now I have a 2013 and happy!

While my 2014 1SS was nice we had a chance to buy a fully loaded 2013 2SS Convertible (my wife mentioned our prior one (which I traded in) every chance she got :-) I told my wife that if I could find a 2013 SS Convertible that had a manual transmission thus it came with a $2500.00 rebate along with the dual mode exhaust, In dash Navigation and backup camera plus all the 2SS features, I would trade in the 2014. I found a car that fit our specs with in 200 miles of our home and bought it. I have to admit that after I got over the initial newness of my 1SS coupe I missed the convertible as well. The real deal was the factory cash back which made the convertible quite affordable. If your currently in the market for any Camaro, check your area for buyer cash back because it's there for a limited time. Otherwise the 14's are quite good looking and if I had wanted to spend more money I would have upgraded to a 2014 2SS Convertible but the way the two cars compare overall to me is that the 2010-2013 is a classic design and I don't see any reason not to enjoy any 5th generation Camaro. I plan to add the classic hood and deck lid stripes on Monday. This is a photo of the 2LT I recently traded in. New photos of our 2SS to come soon.

The 2LT picture shows a GORGEOUS car.
Can't WAIT to see pics of the 2SS Vert. The 5th generation Camaro is a classic...beautiful design.
I had a random guy come up to me in Wally World parking lot this morning just to say...."that is the most BEAUTIFUL car I've seen in a long time". He wasn't the first and I have to admit...it NEVER gets old.

Yeah, I get the same thing. I'll be at a stop light blaring my tunes and out of the corner of my eye,I'll see the person next to me waving their arms trying to get my attention. Usually asking me what year my car is, V6 or V8 and that they love the IOM color!

2SS/RS Convertible

I had the heritage stripes put on. Two much white for me without them. Plus, I just love this style stripe. It looks very similar to the V6 Convertible we had but as it is an SS/RS MN6 with dual mode exhaust and navigation there are big differences. A V6 2LT auto is nothing to sneeze at but drive the SS and if you are like me you will buy the V8. Fuel mileage on average is 1 MPG. less than the V6.

Thanks folks. I have to admit I spent a few years with Dodge Challengers and I like the car but I got bored with it. The Camaro's are a breath of fresh air and fun to drive. I have always loved Chevy first. I drove several 93-2002 Z28's. The gen 5 is night and day more solid as a convertible and coupe. It's nice to have a tight convertible but I am still having issues with voice commands for the bluetooth connection on the phone. Usually I have to just find the contact on my phone and then the bluetooth works fine. My dual mode exhaust is just a touch louder than the standard exhaust. I am referring to this problem with the top up and not down. I don't expect the voice command feature to work with the top down. Generally with the top down I can talk to someone hands free with no problems. There are variables like very noisy interstates. Frankly I had trouble with this same issue when we had our V6 Convertible. I feel this is more of a safety issue than an inconvenience. Anybody else have any Convertible voice command issues?

I am referring to a very casual driving style. If you drive the V8 hard throw my comment out the window. In my area police run radar everywhere. On the highway coming back from the dealership I saw 26 mpg driving 70-75 miles per hour. The dealer was in the Atlanta area, so again there's a lot of police all along the way. Driving style is a huge variable and I have my moments when I wants to feel the power and open up that dual mode exhaust. It's addicting but I'm a young 52 year old and around our home I drive the speed limit. I also have an Escort that I run all the time. I have been in the Birmingham area just over a year and the police run radar all over the locations I frequent the most.
