I missed my special ordered 2014 and bought it back!

I ordered this car when the 2014 order banks opened. Yes, I did trade it in on a 2013 Convertible (To try to please my wife). My wife never even rode in the car and I wondered…if my trade in had not sold yet. It had not so I made a deal and went back to Georgia. It's a bit of an odd ball car. It's a 1SS with Recaro seats but it's the way I wanted it and after driving the convertible with it's long throw shifter and the top up for a while, as a Chevy guy this car is so much more solid and it's built for me. I was surprised that it was in such good shape after sitting on the lot for six weeks or more. the reality was the black paint that I had made almost perfect had terrible clear coat scratches so I took it to Spellman Detailing and they got the finish back to it's proper gleam.

Finish restoration.

It looked horrible to me so to the detailer it went. The inside looked like no one had touched it. Typical dealer lot washing with a sandpaper brush.

The Seats...

I have been told that these are now on restriction due to demand and the need to build the Z28 and ZL1. My ordering dealer tells me you can't get these on the SS at the moment. Will this change?

Yes they are power on both sides. I also had the back custom made to match the front.

I don't know. It's not for the faint of heart. I got a decent deal. It actually took two trades to get a good deal on the 2014 SS I special ordered.
I traded the 2013 Convertible SS for a 2LT and got about $5000.00 back and then I got the idea to check and see if my Special ordered SS was still at the dealer I bought the Convertible from in Georgia. I went on the dealers web site and they had it listed at over $39000.00. Sticker new was only $38500.00. I made an offer to them. I had a 2LT with 200 miles and a $35100.00 sticker so I offered them the difference between $35100.00 and $38500.00. They excepted my offer and away to Georgia I went on Thursday afternoon. It was dark when I got there so I could not see how bad the paint looked. When I traded it in it was slick with few if any clear coat scratches. It looked horrible in my garage the next day but i'm really picky. First thing it went to the detailers and then I called the Trim shop where I had ordered the matching back seat a while back so they installed the new back seat on the same day.
