Do you use it much? with my low mileage, it wasn't worth it ... but, yes, they will offer something lower if you tell them you are not going to re-subscribe ,,, sorry, I don't remember what it was though.

After a month or so, call them back and tell them you changed your mind and want to cancel. They will bend over backwards to keep you. It's the same for XM radio.

I think GM is crazy for want they want for the service, I'm sure they have their business model worked out to maximize profit,, I briefly thought about renewing when in December they had that special offer to lock in before the rates raised in 2014,, but I still couldn't jusify paying $17 or so a month for the lower cost plan,, the only thing that I really, really wanted with onstar was the phone app that allows you to lock, start, & check on the car from your phone,, very nice if you forget to lock your car,,

however now that we are learning that the Feds have these advanced computers in the cars to own & control us I would like to find a way to disable the OnStar,, could it be as simple as unplugging the antenna??

And for the airheads who still think this is a conspiracy theory, here is the CEO of Ford announcing to the world that yeah the govt is tracking you wherever you go,,

I don't know about being spied on and I really could care less. I ain't doing **** that is so secretive anyway. As a LEO we love cars equipped with ON STAR. When they are stolen they give us turn by turn directions where the a-holes are. It's priceless seeing the look on the perps faces when we roll up in mass and holler, "Surprise,Surprise,Surprise". Oh I have On Star in both my vehicles.

I just bought the 2014 Camaro, and Onstar is free for the App use for 5 years from the date of purchase. I do not need to continue the subscription for this to work, you just need to load the app and use it once during the trial period.

My free subscription runs out in July. I'm just going to get the safe & Sound for $19.95 a month when my free trial is over. You have everything the Directions and Connections gets you besides the Navigation. I personally don't think and "as many miles as I drive" a year its worth paying $10 extra a month for Nav.

White 2014 2LT/RS! Black interior with Blue accent trim package.
