Analog speedometer issue

Not sure if anyone else has ever had this problem.A few times a month my speedometer needle will show I am going 60 mph more than I really if I am going 40 mph it will show I am going 100 mph...once I get to my destination and restart the car it will go back to normal...any ideas,Thanks

idk, but I would get out on the interstate and go up to the speed limit or so and take picture ... you could possibly get a pic of your car at 130 or 140mph ... hope you can get it fixed

Your insurance might cover it, if your deductible is not to high & got full coverage
I'd also check your local dealer, it may be a defect, that they may have to replace at their cost
(make sure you keep track & pics as much as possible), it may be a legal issue, safety.. wise, depending on the (your) state laws.

Warranty issue. Really sounds like it is defaulting to metric (KM) some how.....but dealer should take care of it I expect.
