Hate Motorweek

I just finished watching Motorweek's review of the 2014 Camaro 1LE. I thought the car looked awesome. Trouble is old man Davis was less that complimentary and in his closing told everyone to save up more money and go with the Corvette. What's his problem. Is he a closet Mustang guy?

they gave the 2013 a pretty good review,, I think it's a great package,, worth the extra $3995 or what ever it is,,

but he's probably right, if you really want a great handling car,, then save the extra $15k and get the corvette.., surely it will handle better.

well as far as I'm concerned, if your going to pay $40k- $48k for a car out the door,, another $15,000 aint nothing to you anyway,,, you know so I kind of agree with him,, if you really want a world class performance car, think about the corvette,,

Well that thinking can go even further...why pay X amount for a Corvette when another X amount gets you a Z06...ZR1...Viper...Lamborghini? Point is that the Vette is in a totally different league than the SS-1LE. And people who can afford the Vette aren't even thinking about the SS-1LE if they even know it exists in the first place. They may consider a ZL-1, but again, even that is in a different league. As far as $15,000 is concerned, well that ain't no chump change. You figure a $45,000 car will cost you over $700 a month at 4% APR at 72 months...a $60,000 car will cost you an extra $200 + dollars a month. Thats a lot of scraping around. You're talking a thousand dollars a month. And thats if you can even find a Vette for $60,000. And for what, a 2 seater? The Vette and the 1LE shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence unless you're just kinda comparing the 2 just for kicks.

most of the cars that I have bought in my life are under 20K with the last 4 being 23K 17K 25K and 29K ... the Camaro is definitely a splurge and very likely more than I will ever spend on another car in my life ... I could probably afford a vette if I wanted to flush that kind of money, but I just think the Camaro meets my needs ... as Chapel says that is an apples and oranges comparison
