Bade a Fond Adieu to the Sonic...

We traded in the Sonic Hatchback we bought back in June.

At the time, my reviews were HOMERUN CHEVY, HOMERUN!

After almost a year, we still loved the car, BUT it's no longer a homerun. Just a triple... spring, summer, and fall.

Yes, our beloved Sonic, at 2800 lbs, was just a 3 season car. There's nothing like turning the wheels on snow and ice and the car keeps going straight or doing some major ice skating.

Once I got used to the way it drove, I was fine with the handling and such. But the boss said she worried about me in it and she didn't feel safe in it.

So, last Thursday we traded in the Hedgehog for Oscar. A '13 Malibu 2LT that should be better in inclimate weather and we only sacrificed about 7 mpg's. If it makes the boss sleep easier at night, it's worth it.

BTW, the redesigned Malibu is pretty freaking sweet... so far!!!

So far it's a wonderful car.

Wife had an'09 before and she loved it.

She likes the new one better, so do I.

aint nothing wrong with a sonic in snow, just get some snow tires, they're only like $50 a piece.

It's definitely a girlfriend.

He wouldn't be racking up those kinds of miles for his buddies. LOL
