2015 Ford Mustang GT gaining weight

I know this isnt a Ford site but just read this on yahoo.

The Mustang is actually gonna be 200-300lbs heavier than the Mustang they are replacing but HP is going up so I suspect the 5.0's will run about the same as they do now.

I like how these articles actually report absolutely nothing. Instead of the writer trying to come up with witty comments, maybe he should have spent a few sentences explaining how and why the Mustang will be gaining weight. Ok we know the Mustang will be 200-300 pounds heavier now. Is that weight just nothing? It just weighs more for no reason? Sheesh. I could have written this same report drunk. Heck he could have just saved an entire story and said "Hey guys, guess what...the Mustang is gonna be 200-300 pounds heavier..."

I think we all have been waiting for Ford to give us the stats on the new Mustang, but they have been really quiet about it. If I had to guess, I would say this article about gaining weight is probably right. My thought is that if Ford was able to keep the weight the same it would be broadcasted to every media source available. Since Ford has said nothing, my guess is that it gained a few pounds.

The aftermarket companies have already had their hands on the new Mustang, Steeda even had a article about it. I love the rear end of the Mustang but I have to see one in person to give my opinion on the front end...

hey Vintage, WT this isn't a ford site!!!! j/k I don't think anyone here minds hearing a little bit about the competition ... and there is no one better for it to come from, knowing your ford roots run deep ... but we are glad you have seen the light (even if we know it is grudgingly )
