2011 Convertible top going up issue

I just purchased a 2011 Camaro. I also own a 2013 Camaro. The 2011 Camaro when putting the top up will slam down hard onto the windshield seat. The motor and mechanisms appear to be fine except for the issue described. The top goes up and down just fine other than the hard hit onto the windshield post. the 2013 top sits down much more gentle onto the Window Shield seat. Is there any adjustment I can do to the 2011 to make it sit down gently onto the windshield seat?

Congrats on having two verts.. man, you got room at your job.. for another guy
I'm not sure on that one, some times I feel mine moves to fast.. I'd think if you tap the button, that might help..
I'm sure theirs a way to slow down the top, some kind of switch or crew on the pumps, if we have pumps.. I think we have them, also could the springs be warn out (??),
maybe contact this member (PM) Pony.. he's pretty much gone through his entire vert and may be of some help

Oh & welcome to MC, please post on our new members thread so we can give you a warm welcome & don't forget to post on our vert color & count thread when you can

Thx will do. I'll finish setting up my profile and will post on both threads. Good thing is the car is still under warranty so I might just drop it off and see what they say.

2013 is a 1SS bumblebee and the 2011 is a red 2LT. I uploaded two pics. Hopefully I did that correct.

The SS just passed its break in period. It has a whole 1,600 miles on it. The 2LT has 35k miles. I need to add a loud exhaust to the SS next.

Sorry; beyond my area of expertise. I always stop mine prior to the stop and turn the locking mechanism to the unlock position before closing all the way so the "hook" doesn't "bang" on the windshield latch. Mine, however, never goes completely down (1/2" to spare) and I pull down tight and latch. Sorry couldn't be more help.

There is a class action lawsuit against GM about the Convertible Camaro's, here is the facebook link.
