What is the correct touch up paint for Summit White?

For the 2011 Summit White Camaro I found that the "Color Code" is GAZ. The "Touch-Up Paint Number" is WA-8624. However, I'm reading on the internet that GM and others are offering Olympic White instead and the paint doesn't match. They swear it's the same color, however it is slightly yellow. I didn't purchase any yet and I have a small portion of my rear bumper exposing the black bumper underneath due to some kid possibly scraping it with his bike

Pics just posted below....

2011 SummitWhite 2LT/RS (SOLD)
2010 Black 2LT/RS (ZLRS) (Current)
ZL1 Appearance package, Flow Master American Thunder Cat Back Exhaust w/ QUAD TIPS, K&N Typhoon CAI, Ported VMAX TB, OEM GM Brembo Brakes Package w/ Hawks Carbon Ceramic Pads, Night Owl Halo Kit (WIFI), Rear Oracle Blue LED Bowtie, Oracle Ghosted Painted Side LED Markers.

Yes that is what I have seen and somehow while googling - it kept bring me to Camaro5.com forum and many have complained the colors are not the same. The Olympic white has a creamy yellowish hue to it compared to Summit White.

JWD621 is right. Your local Chevrolet dealer has both brush and spray paint to match. They punch in your Vin and the correct one comes up.

Yes I would think so too - and same complaint at the Chevrolet dealership on Camaro5 forum - dealer told them the color Olympic white and Summit White shared the same color code regardless of vin and the color was way off. I'll give it a try and see what the dealership has to say.

On a side note - I'm wondering if taking it to a body shop would be a better idea? Wondering if they could blend the paint in using an airbrush method which would look way better than touch up paint no matter how careful anyone can be?

Seems a matter of how obvious the place is ... yours sounds like it might be noticeable, but maybe not ... the difference between a $15 can of paint and, wagging it, $100-200 for the body shop ... almost assuredly, the body shop job will look perfect, but if it is in a place that only you will know, maybe not worth it? But if you look at it everyday, it could get old. Then again, you could give it a shot and if you don't like the results, turn it over to them? Not sure how a body shop will take it if you make it worse ...

I'll take a pic tomorrow and post to give everyone an idea of what the damage looks like. Then again - it may not matter to much, however on a white car - it's an eye sore and sticks out like a sore thumb. A least to me
