should I buy an extended warranty

now that my bumper to bumper only has 3,000 miles & 6 months left I've been getting GM mailings about extended warranties, the neat thing is they have warranties that you can do monthly payments on,, like $69 a month for 14 months.. pretty **** affordable, I drive about 15,000 miles a year..

my car is completely base model 1LS, do you think it would be wise to extend the bumper to bumper or maybe just the power train warranty?

2012 1LS Silver Ice - Mods - SS Strut Brace, RX Catch Can, BBK CAI, TRS Bi-Xenon HID's, Blackout Grill, RX65 Radar Detector, 700watt 4 Channel Amp with Kicker Speakers, 4Pack Gauges Added, 30% tint. Baer Drilled Rotors & pads, 20" American Racing. Awesome car.

I bought an extended warranty when I bought mine and never had to use it, but is still valid at least for 2500 more miles or 6 months which ever come first. Has been a good thing to have in my thoughts and was not that expensive.

I used mine enough to pay for itself and then some. Seat Heaters, Seat motor, Door actuator in Dash. and speakers and a few others... Electronics are not built to last forever.. they will fail.

Yes, you should. If you need it it'll be there. Your dealership can hook you up. Go for the bumper to bumper.

Keep in mind that you have power train warranty remaining (5-year 100K mile), so you would be paying for something that you already have. Read the coverage very closely BEFORE you pull the trigger on one of these plans; a lot of them are merely money makers for the dealership and really don't provide that great of coverage. Many have deductibles against repairs, as well.

I never have had a problem with anything on the two Camaros I have and do own and one was a vert ss, so its really up to you, my car now is so modded its powertrain is way out the window. If you have any thoughts about the v-6 getting trashed you may want to get one and research about problems they are likely to have such as say with age .....yet remember you may be better to jut save a rainy day fund because items like timing belt etc are not covered as they are items that wear out over time and warranties are for some good for others ...never used.

I couldn't decide either like you. I ended up buying it and I'm sorry I did. I am thinking about cancelling it and getting some money back.

I do on all my vehicles except the Camaro due to the modifications. I have comprehensive warranties on both.
