I hit a Deer

Friday morning at 4:45 a deer jumped out at me. Took a hit to the passenger side front corner. Everything from the front bow-tie emblem to just past the passenger front tire is smashed. Radiator took a hit too.

I was able to drive it 30 miles to the body shop, dropped the keys in the key drop with a note to contact my insurance agent.

I received a quote close to 6 grand, my deductible is $500.

I think I'm going to have them remove the vinyl stripes from the gills, hood and trunk, have them painted on adding stripes to the roof.

First and hopefully last deer for me.

That sux for sure ... I drive to work at about that time every morning and they are my #1 worry with the speed traps not too far behind ... have gotten one on my route; thank goodness it was before the Camaro

If you don't mind, let us know how much the stripes cost

Hope it gets back to normal soon.

That seriously sucks - sorry it happened to you. Been there before but not with the Camaro. I wish your car a speedy and complete repair and glad you were not injured.

Glad that you are OK, everyone in my family has hit at least 1 deer. I do all I can every fall to lower their numbers with my trusty bow.

Hit a deer on Hot Rod Power Tour last year. State farm let me upgrade to ZL1 front end, only had to pay the difference, about $11. This is chance to change anything for low $. Mine included air bags and seat belts with total cost of over $12K. Should be comprehensive with no deductible.

That's awful! When I go to Idaho I have to go through a bad deer and livestock area, I have come closer than I want to almost hitting one. Hope you get it back quickly!
