2010 SS

Hi Guys I'm new here just picked up well just bought my girlfriends 2010 Camaro SS she special ordered in 2009. I have already asked for the build sheet so I won't go into that but just curious if it is better to leave this stock...? Not sure what production number it is or if it even matters..?

Its a beautiful Imperial Blue Metallic, funny thing its the same color as my 2011 silverado LOL. 20056 Miles garaged its entire life only seen water when it was washed ! 6 speed manual of course every option except the bigger wheels and the Halos.

I was thinking about putting on headers and full exhaust with high flow cats, and a after market air intake, not looking to do much engine modifications just a little more power.

so yeah thats my question leave it stock if it will be worth more some day, as this is a fun car and its the first production year so I will keep it for a long time OR do some little modifications...

Thanks happy to be here !!

Tony

Not sure how much of a collector or how valuable it will be. You could modify it and keep the stock parts. That way if someone is really anal about it then you can sell it with the stock parts or return it to stock.

I got the dyno tune via the port under the steering wheel, as most do. Not even sure if a chip can be traded out on this car. A ported throttle body, CAI & tune got me 30hp.

CRF8 FLORIDA 2014 Camaro 2SS/ RS red rock metallic L99; named "Waste of Money" by the wife; 93 tune, front strut brace, window tint, Lloyd's trunk mat, cargo net & organizer, LED blue dome & trunk, ESCORT, BMC fade gills, RotoFab CAI, Granatelli axle back, Gorilla wheel locks, Expel headlight protectors, Vmax throttle-body.

You cannot install a chip onto the ECU. Those days are over, lol!! You can flash a tune into the ECU tho. A handheld tuner with preset tunes like Diablosport Predator, SCT Xcal, and others should give a nice noticeable bump in power, harder shifts, and get rid of the nannys. A custom tune should get a bit more power especially if you're datalogging on the actual road and sending the file in to be adjusted. And a dyno tune is about the same as a custom tune but just can be done faster and is safer because you're on a dyno instead of out on the road. Either way is good. But I would hold off on a dyno tune until you get some extensive mods.
