2013 Steering Wheel Bowtie

Hi all I would like to change, cover up or do something to get rid of the ugly bowtie on steering wheel.
What have some of you done?

You could use a small brush and paint the thing.

You can make anything disappear if you paint it the right color.

Touchup paint and painters tape works great.

off topic, but how easy / hard is it to switch out the piece on the center AC vents?

It's not hard. You have to remove the long plastic trim piece on the dash first. This will expose five 7 mm bolts at the top of the insert. The bottom of the insert is held in place with seven clips.

After you have the insert removed, flip it over. There are five 7 mm bolts and 2 philips head screws holding the vent to the insert.

This method only works for the 2012 and up models. I found a trim tool also helpful.

Excellent, guess that's another piece I need to order ... of course, I just got a painted long trim piece but haven't switched it out yet, good thing ... I'll do an order and wait to do both at the same time ... thanks.
