Cost and what they truly pay are two different numbers.

but with jewelry, that is generally the price ... you can wait for it to go on sale or you can go somewhere else and compare prices ... in the car business, everyone is treated different and different dealers have different techniques. I know there are exceptions in jewelry and many other things, but the car business just sux in that regard. That is why people get all po'ed at car sales, or, at least why I do. I HATE shopping for cars, so I guess that is why I keep my cars forever.

Rick Hendrick City Chevrolet, Charlotte, NC. Had 1st allocation to order a 2012 ZL1 from this dealership. Ordered (Order number PZDD32) on Oct. 29, 2011. 1st day Chevrolet began taking orders. Two friends, and club members, got allocation #2 and #5. Dealer refused to take any downpayment on my order, bad sign. Jan. 7, 2012, dealer CANCELED our three orders. REASON: Somebody who ordered a ZL1 changed their order to a Corvette, so they had to cancel ALL the orders. NO LIE!!!

Interesting ... I bought at Rick Hendrick in Charleston SC, not too bad of and experience (considering I HATE car buying experiences) They had 2 ZL1s on the lot but that was the end on the 2012 model year

The trouble with car buying is almost like house buying... the price is usually whatever the market will bear. The more interested you are in a car, the higher the seller thinks they can go on selling price.

I would recommend steering clear of Lawrence Chevy in Mechanicsburg, PA. Their sales manager is condescending and rude, and their service department flat out lied to me a number of times in one transaction trying to rip me off for services that I already paid for.

Mentioned mine last night from Bill Crispin in Saline, MI at MSRP. Unprecedented people, and extraordinary thing learning too. I'm new to the site so I can see that Classic and Scotty are very well worth working with anyway these people are 3 miles from my office, no offense people.
