I traded my Camaro for......

......another Camaro!

I traded my black '10 2SS/RS for a white '10 2SS/RS with IOM stripes and interior. This is the car I wanted when I got my black one but I couldn't find one. I got tired of constantly cleaning the black one so I decided to try and find a white one. Luckily, there were several out there exactly like I wanted. My black one had 28k miles on it and this one has 7k miles.

I'm very happy with the switch so far.

Only mods so far are MTI Racing CAI, SLP Loudmouth, Subthump 12" box and amp board, painted Heritage Grille and '69 Camaro style emblems from emblempros.

You traded your '10 for a used '10?... does not compute. If it cost you less to do than a color change on your black one, I guess it's ok...I'd never do it personally.

:)

Looks good, White looks good when clean and stays that way longer than black for sure. I have considered trading mine to get a 2011, but hard to justify the cost and no real good reason for me to trade up except the HUD.

Enjoy your ride, hard to be paying for something that you are not totally happy with.

It didn't cost me much to make the change, about $1500. When I bought my black SS, I wanted white or IOM with IOM interior. There were none to be found that were in my price range. This was over a year ago so used Camaros weren't as prevelant as they are now. Black was really the only choice I had.

I had sold my 2001 SS quicker than expected so I needed a car ASAP. That really limited me in what I could get. I had 2 black/black 2SS/RS M6 and a Red Jewell/beige to choose from. I knew I didn't want RJT so I got one of the black cars.

I really liked the car and enjoyed the hell out of it while I owned it but I was never really 100% satisfied with it. I'm way too anal about having a clean, swirl free car and I could never keep the black one looking great without constantly washing/buffing/polishing it. It was just too much of a time waste for me. I decided that it was worth a little extra money to be happy and have what I wanted all along. This car also has 21k fewer miles so it really worked out well.

I didn't get a new '11 because I don't want to spend that kind of money. I work at a Buick-GMC dealer but we don't have a Chevy store so I can't buy a Camaro at GMS.

I wasn't the original owner. Even then, I'd never repaint the car. A complete repaint done right will cost at least $10k. Not to mention the fact that you now own a car that has had a complete repaint. That normally deducts from the value of the car if you ever have to sell it or trade it in.

As long as you are happy thats all that matters.

imo I would have gone with white also. I have had black cars mean as hell looking but very hard to keep clean.

what mods again were on your black car and did you take them off or leave them on ?

i wasnt speaking for you. i was speakig for me. ive thought about getting a white camaro, but i cant do it. id rather keep my car than take a hit and get rid of mine, just because of the color. id still rather paint it though. or wrap it.
