It's LSX time...

Lately, we've been doing a lot of LSX based builds, so I figured I'd snap a few photos of a few projects in our engine build department.









and another engine... with a few "extra holes"

It's for a twin turbo Viper.

The pistons with gold finish. Is that a coating of some sort?

The thermal barrier crown (top) coating is applied to the top of the piston and is designed to reflect heat into the combustion chamber, thereby increasing exhaust gas velocity and greatly improving scavenging potential. It also assists in extending piston life by decreasing the rate of thermal transfer.

The skirt coating reduces friction and inhibits galling during initial break-in.
