Poor Quality Vertical Door Hinges

So I purchased some vertical door hinges from who else "Vertical Doors, inc". The cost was $1,200. Well I have only owned them for less then a year and they have started to rust. Little did I know that these are just painted and "NOT" powder coated as you would expect for you pay for them.

I reached out to Vertical Doors, Inc to try and get them replacements. Once I would have received the new ones they would have went right to the powder coats (again something for this price should already come that way). I provided the company pictures of the rust on them, and their answer was "Do they still work?", umm yes, then no replacements will be provided.

As you can see this company 1) provides poor quality door hinges at an extremely high cost. 2) will not replace them once they start rusting.

If you have to buy these (which some will as these are patented) then powder coat them before installing is my advise.

Buyer beware notice on these.

Thanks,

thanks for the warning ... now, looking past this issue, what do you think of the vertical doors? If they were right would you buy them again? are they awkward getting in and out? how do they do in a normal parking space between two cars?

Like Mine, have had them over three years, had painted to match car color, no problem, still strong as new. Parking no problem, don't open as wide as before but still plenty room to get in and out.
