Scott Burgess: Revamped 2009 Chrysler 300C SRT8 showcases power

Big 6.1-liter V-8, refined handling, rear-wheel drive fun, and a throaty sound that you can feel in your belly, the 2009 Chrysler 300C SRT8 is a mean, lean luxurious machine.

SRT8's are indeed awesome cars. You owe it to yourself to drive one.

After driving one, then proceed to test out a G8 GXP.

I haven't driven a G8 but do think they are a nice car. There was one at the Cleveland Auto Show that my wife and I liked very much. Sad thing is I have been a die hard Pontiac guy for years but everything got so mundane that I moved on the the Magnum when they came out in 05. Our first one was a very good car so when we bought new in 08 it was the SRT8. The moral of the story is GM was just too late once again coming out with nice product.

I concur about many of their models [GM being late for the parade]. I'm still here buying their vehicles, though.

OTOH, I do recall back in the early 2000's a Chrysler exec saying "coupes are dead." Ha!
