DETROIT -- General Motors Corp. said Thursday that it may sell its Allison Transmission division as part of its effort to raise money and focus on its core business.

If it's not profitable, it would be a good move to sell the division. That is at least in the now.

I'm not sure that in the long run it will be good. Might be a good way to get out of paying a bunch of benefits.

I'm all for GM focusing on making better cars. Trucks...I really don't care. Once the public got stupid and willing to pay way way waaaay too much for a truck, I got turned off.

An Allison Transmission behind a Cummins Diesel!!

Now THATS the hot ticket....THe Best Trans behind the best Diesel. But I am sure that won't happen.

allison is the only only thing that makes an HD, the rest of the truck is crap, man i love working on allisons
