Their top of the line car is a subject to half shaft failure during acceleration? What's the point of buying it then.

The solution of installing a washer would really make me feel safer as the car approaches top speed.

Its just goes to show you about the rushed product. They went from proto to final car in faster than normal times.

Someone tell me again why someone would pay over 150k for a Ford? I like how they try to explain how it only does it during acceleration. What happens under full throttle when all of a suddon one side looses power? Can some one say kiss wall/guardrail/Ford tempo next to it.

True of pontiac dealers charging almost 50K for GTO's..or the markups on the no haggle Sky's?? Or the V-Series getting the market value second sticker.. the 150K extra is not Fords fault. Its the Dealers moronic way of riding the wave of popular cars and selling out to the all mighty dollar. I have seen it done to many cars. Even the 35th Camaro was marked 10-15K over MSRP in some dealers dito with the Firebird. Vipers and Vettes are victims to it too.. The Ford GT was just one car that lived up to the hype. I too saw the Market Adjusted Value of 150K. I was like you F'in nuts? Even the Mustang fell to that when they came out 2 years ago on the new design. They wre MA to the roof.

But truthfully I would if I had the $$ buy a Ford GT. Its just matter of opinion. Sure there are other cars out there. I could buy a Z06 with a market adjusted 25K markup to 100K...or mod a Vette, Viper heck even a Mustang to be as good as the GT but thats the thing. It is what it is. A Ford GT. A heritage car to a legend. Just like somones buying a Cobra or a Saleen S7 supercar. I am glad Ford brought it out. I wish Detroit could pump out supercars that compete on the level as the Euro turdfests. But they dont have to make cars for the mass' just the ass' and you get what you get.
Look at us. Were drooling over a car that will not be out for another 2 years. And in that time you dont think we will see market values for the new Camaro be in the area of 20K markup for some of them?? I think so.
Now you could say the Vette is dollar for dollar better. Sure it is. It is the blue collar supercar. No doubt and goes head to head with any car 3 times as much. It is the benchmark for what can be done on a limited mass produced car. But to own a Vette is to own a vette. To own a Ford GT. thats a little something diffrent. And just think the way some trash cars like some great hollywood types destroying Enzo's. Think of the value. lol
