Toyota is literally getting away with murder and robbery here.

If anyone of the Big 3 cars did that even once, you can guarantee that the NTSB would force them to recall all cars of that model, no questions asked. They would also be forced to pay restitution to families for injuries caused by these failures.

Why on earth would someone defend Toyota even after a complete failure of the car like that nearly kills them?

"When she hit 2,000 miles, she could count her trips to a gas station on one hand."

LOL WUT.

I can claim the same thing with my 2010 Camaro.

Unpossible! Everyone who has ever read a Consumers Reports knows that Japanese automobiles are the best made cars on Earth! Of course Toyota is correctly placing the blame on people who can not drive such fine automobiles correctly.

"You get these customers that say, 'I stood on the brake with all my might and the car just kept on accelerating.' They're not stepping on the brake," says Toyota corporate spokesman Bill Kwong.

A Toyota technician told her she ran out of gas, but she objected that that wasn't true; there was fuel in the car. Still, he returned her Prius to her with no repairs.
Wow...what *******s.

I've ran out of gas before (in the S-10)...the brakes still worked fine. And that was in a 1997 vehicle.

Also..the article says the Big 3 hasn't been able to make fuel efficient vehicles.
