GM's Nick Reilly will run Opel during search

Nick Reilly, the head of General Motors' international operations, will take over operational responsibility for Opel while GM continues its search for a new CEO, the Detroit automaker announced Tuesday. GM announced last week that it planned to keep Opel and restructure the Germany-based unit instead of selling it off as previously announced.

Wait a minute, wasn't Bob Lutz to take that position as interim CEO? I'm not joking either, most of the info I've seen said that he was tapped a week or so ago to head on out.

He does have a thing for the brand from what I recall, so it seemed a logical fit; but it could just be wishful thinking and misinformation.
