The recall will only get bigger as the gov't digs more into what is actually going on.

Yup. More "scandal." While I know this won't happen, wouldn't it be so incredibly ironic if all of this stuff going on caused Toyota to become bankrupt or some sort of situation where the Japanese government would have to bail them out. Just to have all of those GM haters put their foot in their mouths...

Another thing to point out -- Toyota's landslide towards the sewer happened MUCH quicker than how GM tumbled. Toyota has only been a world-powerhouse for a very short time -- compared to how GM ruled the roost for much of the 20th century.

And GM didn't try to hide their recalls. If something was messed up they worked quickly to fix it. Unlike Toyota..which has been dragging their feet for YEARS on this, at the cost of lives even. Delaying the inevitable and lying to customers that relied on their vehicles to be dependable and safe.

What's even funnier as they're now uncovering stuff that had been going on since '03 and earlier with these same models..

Got any info on the older ones that are effected? I know a few Toyota owners. While they have ****ty taste in vehicles..I don't necessarily want them to die.
