It's bittersweet for jobs, but I didn't see any Mustang owners crying when an entire F-body plant shut down.

It's a convenient excuse for Ford. They are looking to let some people go, and what better way to pass it off.

The Mustang sales will kick back up once the 2011's are available.

Yup -- for fresh workers without "legacy" costs. Very smart business move.

Not to mention a potential "Good PR" move if it does happen.

"We're saving America by creating jobs. See, eveyone's buying Mustangs so we had the foresight to help the country and add another shift to the plant! We created 1000 jobs!"

"Didn't you just cancel that shift a ye-"

The people who build our cars are honest hard working everyday people. no I cant stand the ford mustang however thats someones job he takes pride in and hearing how someone is losing his/her job sucks. The folks at the Camaro plant have worked hard for us on putting our cars on the street in our hands im sure the Ford folks feel the same about there workers.
