I'm glad.
There's a lot of good things about this!

A local very very good dealer was on the closing list.
They fought it, and were granted a temporary stay.
This week they finally found out that they are staying open.

ya i don't know if it applies to canada or not. i know first hand what it's like to get that letter from gm, and watch 40 people get told at once that we are no longer going to have jobs. i got really really drunk that night to say the least

While I understand people wanting to keep their jobs, but I do not understand keeping mediocre performers. It was the perfect opportunity for GM to shed some dead weight.

The bad is, the "remaining" dealers had to up some expenses for Chevy required items / programs, because of the reduction of dealers. With dealers coming back, are the dealers still required to pay all these additional costs?

It sounds like they are doing better than expected, but I hope they don't get expecting too much.

It also helps prevent overproducing and ending up with lots of cars that never get sold at profitable prices. I wonder how many dealers Toyota had in the U.S. compared to GM before the bankruptcy.

Still legal in 16 states. It's happy. It's fun. It's Happy Fun Car.
