On April 1 The General will have shaved $2 billion off its debts with another $4.7 billion to go. But with about $40 billion in the bank, GM will likely have the cash on hand to pay off Uncle Sam.

-GM is obligated to pay back just $6.7 billion, while the taxpayers will try to recoup as much as they can when the Feds sell the 60.8 percent of GM it holds in the open market following an IPO.

Same here. I wouldn't mind having a few shares.

Still a long way to go.
I wouldn't touch individual stocks unless you have money to burn

Depend on the initial stock price, I may shoot for a few hundred shares.

Just an FYI for you who are considering buying stock: Stock is sold in 100 share lots (i.e 1 lot equals 100 share, 2 lots is 200 share so on and so forth).

If you buy any number of shares that is not evenly divisible by 100, you will pay a premium. 150 shares would be sold to as a single 100 share lot and then you would pay two premiums one for breaking the lot and then another for the 50 individual shares.

If you can't afford to buy whole lots, I wouldn't buy stock just yet.

Project: 89 RS => AX/RR

really? all stocks? never seen that before, although I usually buy in 100 share lots at least anyway.
