Transportation chief LaHood says auto 'features' often distract drivers
Washington -- Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood scolded automakers Tuesday for not doing more to stop distracted driving, as the Obama administration took new steps to crack down on texting behind the wheel.
I read this today in the local paper. More of people not taking responsibility for themselves.
The auto companies simply cannot win, if they do not include technology like this, they are deemed behind the times. If they do, they are to blame for how drivers USE the technology? Give me a break...
No matter what..there will be people that do that kinda crap.
There are laws in some places against driving while on the phone...people do it anyway.
not to get into an argument, but did you ever ask yourself why..this is so?
it is because people in "general" seem to be 'apathetic" and "indifferent" to the "real" inherent dangers of driving while distracted!..'why" put yourself at risk?
unless you really don't care about yourself,OR others!..the epitome of stupidity!
think about this!..simply amazing!..(w.t.f!)
