NEW DELHI -- For this former British colony, an Indian takeover of Jaguar and Land Rover would be a boost to local pride and a sign of India's economic rise.

I'd like to see their logo. With a name like "Tata" it's gotta be a good one.

If Jaguar lets itself get sold to an Indian company....that's just wrong.

Unfortunately, it's not up to Jaguar, it's up to Ford.

It needs to be sold to some British company, or at least a European company.

I know..but you would think Jag would have the $$ by now to buy themselves.

They need to break away from ownership. Jaguar makes great cars, I can't imagine if they have the ability to make them how they want.

Problem with that is Jaguar has no money.
And it's a BIG money pit too, losing nearly $1 Billion a year the past several years.
Tough place to be in for them.

Whoever buys them is gonna get them cheap due to their current condition.
