In an unauthorized revelation on Friday, UAW officials disclosed General Motorsí plans to produce a small rear-wheel-drive vehicle architecture code-named Alpha.

Good news. Hopefully a sporty G6 replacement.

RWD for the masses again. Keep a couple fwd offerings for the retards who can't drive.

I think Alpha is suppost to be the new G6 eventually.

I think I first heard of Alpha about 18 months ago.
Yet I know nothing about it other than it's a small RWD chassis.

Definitely something worthwhile IMO.
It will be interesting to see the cars that spawn from this chassis.

Hopefully GM starts cranking out their small diesels by then. A turbo diesel V6 RWD G6 coupe would be right up my ally.

+1 on the diesels. GM should get the diesel program out and rolling. 2-3 different sizes to share across the platforms.
