General Motors has managed to wring out more horsepower from its 3.6-liter direct-injection V6 and get better fuel economy, too. And the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro gets the benefits.

With all the advancements with direct injection on the V6's, why won't they apply it to a V8. Just think of the fuel economy improvement a V8 could get if they would start applying it.

There is a DI 5.5L coming soon to the Vette..will probably end up in the Camaro eventually.
