Sure, high-tech safety devices such as electronic stability control and collision-warning systems have made driving safer, but nearly two out of three Americans say they think drivers are relying too heavily on technology when they head out on the road, a new poll finds.

I think that this is starting to happen. With GPS, Cell phones, Onstar and etc. Drivers are becoming dependent on technology. Now, granted being stranded on the side of the road really sucks. We all have been there without a phone. Cell phone and Onstar is great for that. But when a person can't find there way to a gas station up the street. My god!! I have always felt that driver education should have: How to read a map and How to fix a flat.

Oh it gets worse than that. Those 'blindspot indicators' are probably going to be a real nuissance..people trusting that blinking light instead of looking for themselves, adaptive cruise control, pre-braking, etc. etc. etc.
