OUR TAKE: This Bug benefits from the five-cylinder transplant that replaced the original four, but that's two years old now. All the same, it needed the torque.

The one thing this car really needs to benfit from is a face lift. This look is 10 YEARS OLD already. Ick. I don't care if the original looked th same for 40 years or however long it was it's old.

My neighbor is a mechanic..he says the new ones are total piles and he works on them constantly. Not anywhere near the quality of the old ones.
And if you look at the interior pictures on VW's website..so much cheap plastic. :\
