Truck inventories give GM hedge against strike: UAW walkout at American Axle continue

General Motors says it wasn’t preparing for a strike at American Axle and Manufacturing Holdings Inc. when it increased North American truck production in January.

Not convinced they are....They've been blowing out old inventory with extra rebates, and there are WAY TOO MANY trucks on constraint with parts shortages for new orders.

Worst problem is you can't snowplow with anything other than the 2500HD with a 6.0 gas engine. People want the Duramax - but plowing with that will void the warranty because of the weight on the front axle. Sad day at the dealership.
