I'd be pissed to if they wanted to cut my wages by $14/hour. They could take some concessions though. I wanna know what they are doing to earn $28 an hour.

I was at a Ford supplier a while back as a 3rd party quality inspection (they were rushed and we ended up leaving without doing anything). They made wheel hubs(I think). They worked their asses off..for about $15 an hour. Filthy place, filthy horrible place. :\

Loud, too.

There's always one thing missing from these talkes when management asks for pay cuts and sacrifice for the company. You never hear of the suits taking a pay cut or declining bonuses. If these companies would lose a couple suits, yod be able to keep at least three or four workers on the line.

Kind of the same reason why college tuition costs so much. They pay college presidents in the MILLIONS per year.

Srslysrs.

EDIT: While cutting money allocated to the classrooms, etc.

Yeah, the uppers should definitely take concessions too then.
That would not only help the situation just as much, but it would set an example for the rest to follow.
