New Cobalt SS, No-Lift-Shift

My brother is interested in buying a new Cobalt SS for a winter ride. As I was checking out Chevrolet.com I hit this performance button on the menu. It said there is this new thing called "No lift shift", I was wondering if someone knew what it is and how it works, thanks.

Theres a Rev. limiter built in to the computer. You don't have to lift the accelerator (hence no-lift) The car will keep RPM at 95-100% of red line for I believe it's 3/10s of a second and allow you to shift. This keeps the boost form the turbocharger up so you can gain some time and speed.

Nice option on this little rocket! I am anxious to drive one and see what this no lift is all about.
