GM announces longer warranties

Effective model year 2007 (and retroactive to 2007s already sold) on all GM vehicles:
Powertrain Warranty now 5 years / 100,000 miles
Roadside Assistance and Courtesy Transportation programs also match that.

Also these warranties are fully transferrable, and carry zero deductibles.

Bumper-to-Bumper warranties remain the same:
4 years / 50,000 miles for Cadillac, Buick, Hummer, and Saab.
3 years / 36,000 miles for Chevrolet, GMC, Pontiac, and Saturn.

Great move by GM!

Yes, excellent move, and it also shows they have confidence in their product quality that they're not going to take it on the chin with the longer warranties.
