Yeah, did the test include hitting it with a "soccer mom" Hummer?

2010 Stock IBM 2SS/RS

I found $80 in my jeans pocket. The kid in me said "buy nerf guns and candy!" But then the adult in me said "buy vodka, nerf guns and candy!"

i love how they say they are giving it high marks and then at the very end they say this:

Quote:
In federal tests made public last month, the Smart fortwo got decent but unspectacular scores. In both federal and insurance institute tests, the driver's door came unlatched in side-impact crashes.
that seems pretty serious to me.

It's not an open road car for sure. Maybe after a several year trend of people buying cars instead of SUVs it might fit in better. It's strange to see one going down the road. It's amazing how small it looks even compared to what I consider small cars.

The door coming unlatched is a scary thought and from what I gathered in the article you better be wearing your seat belt.

I suppose its safe enough on and around the golf course....it is a golfcart, isnt it???

Bob Lutz: "There's no doubt that a design-driven philosophy is the only one that will work. People who are not sensitive to design, people who don't care about vehicles, people who view a vehicle as an appliance, they just default to Toyota. We will never win that one."
