I am glad to see Jimmie win, he needed it. But talk about a lousy race, Goodyear better have a tire test before next years race.

Johnson survives tire debacle at Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS (AP)—Jimmie Johnson celebrated his second victory at Indianapolis Motor Speedway with a burnout.

Appropriately, one of his tires exploded.

Johnson survived horrendous tire troubles that made Sunday’s race a caution-filled debacle because the Goodyear product was not durable enough to withstand the lack of downforce on NASCAR’s new car and the speeds and surface of Indy.

“We came with the best tire we had for the conditions and we fell short. We’ll try to get it right,” said Greg Stucker, director of race tire sales for Goodyear.

Man the tire problems were crazy that race.
I think NASCAR failed by having no COT testing at Indy prior to this race.

It was good to see Jimmie win another one!

You think he could win 3 straight titles?
That hasn't been done since Cale Yarborough in 1976-1977-1978.

I wonder how long it's been since the last time that was done.
Cale Yarborough, 1976 - 1978. I would love to see Jimmie pull it off.
