GM Maryland plant to become first in N. America to use solar panels

WASHINGTON -- General Motors Corp. will install solar panels on the roof of its White Marsh, Md., transmission assembly plant, a move that will generate 1.2-megawatts of power and cut its electricity bill by 20 percent annually by 2009, the automaker announced today.

But Toyota will have a commercial showing thier solar panels first. GM needs to tell everyone about this from every possible venue!!
