WASHINGTON -- Audi of America is mounting an effort to reshape its image away from world-class German engineering to be "more American," its top U.S. executive said Wednesday.

They just want to sell cars, has nothing to do with whether they like us or not.

The pursuit of the almightly dollar can overcome a lot of things.

I find it fascinating that Audi is going to use the same
marketing strategy that Ford is presently using for their crossover vehicles and considering dropping as too abstract

The whole "lifestyle" hard sell instead of concentrating on vehicle strengths was an interesting exercise though.
