Any ACCURATE info on the convert?

Well after an entertaining visit to "Parkway Chevy in Tomball Tx" and thier 10K over MSRP markups, I've determined thier info on the droptop is useless!! They said 2012 for the convert. and next year there will be a 4cyl available as well?? What's the point in that?

Allegedly GM declared bankruptcy due to not building cars consumers want, I say thier own dealers put them there with price gouging practices like we are seeing now, as far as I'm concerned Parkway chevy can let that Beautiful Aqua 2SS/RS rot until they go under!

Hell I own a 2007 Tahoe and wanted to buy a 2010 Camaro, however if there are more greedy dealers than Honest one's I can wait for the going out of buisness sales.........**** shame!!!

I was told by my friend here at the local Chevy dealer that they will build them early next year as a 2011 model

Production on the convertible starts February 2011.

No current plans for a 4-cylinder Camaro.

Some dealers really make up stuff.

They say a 4cyl was discussed, but with fuel prices where they are and with the gas mileage on the V6 as hih as it is I won't hold my breath. As far as the convertable I read earlier this year that their main convertable "supplier" was filing bankruptcy, never heard what came out of that.

Confirmed through GM convertible production to begin Feb 2011, for March release... Soft-top manufaturer pulled out of financial troubles so it's back to the prodcution lines in another yr n a half...

Saw a 1SS with installed/painted ground kit at a dealer in Florida for $50K...looked killer, but absolutely insanely priced. Some other local dealers aren't charging any additional fees here... just depends on how shady they want to be.

If GM builds a Camaro with the turbo 4 cyl from the Sky Redline that would be a nice optional powertrain IMO.

It was the government that accused GM of not building cars the consumers wanted. The same government that has had their head up their asses for decades.

Dealer markups have been occuring for decades as well. This is not why GM and Chrysler were in trouble.

If you wanted a Camaro bad enough, there are far more dealers selling at MSRP than above MSRP. A 2 minute search here would show you at least two Chevy dealers that sponsor this site that would be more than happy to sell you a new Chevy.
