Latest news on a Convertible?

The more I see the new 5th gen cars on the road, I can't help but think how absolutely stunning a drop top version would be. So what's the latest news on the status of this? Is a convertible completely dead or just on the shelf or what?

Nice. While I'm a V8 fanatic, I might actually consider a loaded V6 RS convertible. The wife would drive it most of the time any how.

Don't sweat it, weight is just a number, the performance will speak for itself

omg

yes it is, but verts are heavier because of the extra support needed in the body of the car to keep it rigid. The frame around the window is made with a lot heavier materials and there is added gussets and steel to the under body to support car when it is lacking a roof.
