Question about leaving top down

Newbie here .... have the RS with the tonneau cover. The dealer installed the cover today and I drove home top down. Beautiful. I pulled into my garage (covered on all sides) and left the top down - mainly because the tonneau cover is in place. (Did not have time to fuss with that at the moment.) Question: Does it hurt to leave the top down and park the car inside the garage? I never open the garage unless I am removing a car.

I probably would not leave it down all the time, but occasionally, could I leave the top down? I welcome opinions/advice if you would car to share. I am a newbie, as you see. Thanks! Mark

You can do whatever you want!! Leave it down if you are going to be driving again soon.

I would not leave it down for extended periods of time. If u just leave it down for a day or sumthin, it's not a big deal, but if u leave it down for long periods it will mess it up.

Concerned about interior

I park the car in a closed garage. I've had the car for two days now. It really looks great with the top down. I will probably drive it on Sunday afternoon and then put the top up again.

Is it easy to remove the tonneau cover? Just unslip the straps? The dealer put the cover on for me, so I have never taken it off yet. Thanks!

Theirs a lot of things that can happen when leaving the top down for long periods of time,
the cover for the hole car can get rips or holes in it after storage,
plus its not good for the pumps or the cloth for long periods.
IMO.. two or three days max, sitting in one spot,
if your like some members or people, that store your camaro for the winter,
you might want to lift up your tiers too.. some people forget & have a dead
/flat spot on all 4 of their tiers, its almost impossible to avoid & the tires must be replaced /

Oh.. yea.. plz post on our vert color & count thread &

I always put my top up at night, even in the garage. It keeps the top looking good and stretched to its normal shape. It also keeps the interior clean.

Garage
I always put the top up. But then again my car stays outside.

When I had my 98 Vette I left the top down while garaged in the summer. I was not as concerned with the Vette as I am with the Camaro... after all it was just a Vette..lol
