Leaving top down in garage

I often leave my top down and park my car in my garage. Is there any reason I should not do so? Thanks for advice!

spot/area and might cause problems.. for a prolonged time

You will get varying answers, so I can only reply from my own personal experience. I read on another forum that it was not a good idea to leave the top down overnight or for a long period time. With all of the previous problems with brackets causing rubs, and some other serious issues with certain tops, I would rather play it safe. And besides, it makes sense to me personally to have the top in an unfolded position for a long period of time...wrinkles and folds will occur of course, but if I can minimize it, why not.

Do your homework and then do what you feel is best, but at least you will be making an informed decision. Oh yeah...enjoy the heck out if your car....I think with the top down, it is one of the best looking convertibles on the street!!

I had two convertibles. You can leave it down over night once in a while but I wouldn't (and didn't) make a habit out of it. It will make those wrinkles more pronounced if you do it for a long period of time. Plus the dust and dirt and bugs can get in your car. Enjoy your beautiful Camaro convertible.

It sounds like a bad idea as far as the fabric being bunched up all night but I'd bet there isn't any real data showing it causes damage. If you are going to keep it a long time ya might want to be more careful but if trade 'em in after a few years what the heck.

You can buy a cover for the interior part when you have the top down. I have one but very rarely use it for some reason, well I don't have a door on my cover garage and that's the reason I got it in the first place. Michael in Virginia
