Convertible Wind Restrictor

Are you running around with one of these on your Convertible? If so would love to hear your likes and dislikes about this item for our great Convertibles? I see they are on RPI Designs site. Michael in Virginia

I just ordered one this morning. I posted on all 3 sites and no response so I just said, well someone will maybe ask me the same question one day down the road. This car has never been in any size of car show but we are going to the Auto-Fare in Charlotte in April & then at the end of April going back to Charlotte for the all 5th Gen. Camaro car show.

This guy is local for us, lots of the car clubs buy from him so I guess he has a good product. We carried his products where I work and the Cadillac dealer down the street does too, never saw a problem.

I have the GM accessories one. On the plus side- easy install/remove. Can leave in place putting top up or down. Can lean seats back pretty far. Folds down when you don't want to use it but like to keep anything that you have cubbied in the back seat from blowing out. Doesn't use screws or anything to basically have to hard mount it. It's mesh, so you can see out the back of the car without issues.

Negatives- it's mesh fabric, so you can't be rough with it or you can tear it if not careful. Kinda pricey for what you get, but it does fit perfectly as intended. Can't take anyone in the back seat with it installed. Of course, then THEY become the wind break!

Looks pretty good overall. Probably do it again. I'm not one to have to buy a big CAMARO, SS or ZL1 in lights or something on clear acrylic.

And it performs well. Greatly reduces the wind whip in the interior.

2010 2SS/RS Auto, Sunroof, Engine Cover. Transformer Edition package.
2013 ZL1 ragtop #5478. 1 of 54 CRT M6 'verts.

I too thought the price was crazy for this item but looking at all the money I spent under the hood that's only seen when the hood is up, this then is not a bad deal. Don't go there & think I'm going to tell you how much I've spent for items under the hood. WAYWAY over my budget if I had one, well anyway its a CAMARO & it's not going to leave me as long as I'm on this great earth. Michael in Virginia
