Question Noise Reduction Possible?? QUIET PLEASE!!! lol...

I am kinda anal about creaks, rattles and noise. I had a few 5-series BMW's before the Camaro and one Chrysler 300C. Now, the beemers I must say have a nice refined interior....don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my 2013 2SS Vert, but I remember when I had my 300C that I was forever taking interior parts off, adding foam tape and it was funny at one point I took a Chrysler sales manager for a test drive (for a problem) and he said..."what did you do to this car, it is the quietest 300C I have ever been in!!
I have already noticed on my Camaro, that the interior piece around the Vert Handle ticks and knocks and if I push on it, I can make the metal/plastic sound.
My question is, anyone have any tips/experience that they have done to reduce the interior noise??? Regular treatment of seals/rubber? Anyone as anal as me trying to reduce/eliminate any noises??
Curious!?!?

My Camaro vert makes absolutely NO noise. I was surprised when I bought it...friends asking..."you test drove with top UP to see how much noise it made...right??" Ummm...no I hadn't and thankfully it was/is sooooo quiet. I did have to take it in to Chevy couple months ago....they had to replace a piece of weather stripping. I feel lucky....no rattling whatsoever.

No noise on me vert, well besides motor sounds.. a bit back, otherwise a sound proof & solid set up, my handle is a P.I.T.A. to lock, so theirs no noise from it at all .
Once n' awhile I hear the wheels and the road, but I think its just because we have messed up roads in our town/City..

Mike has lots of trouble locking the top but I think it's because he hardly drives Cami....I use the one handed technique and he just looks at me amazed.
Cmon babe...it's not brain surgery or anything

Well, I know which piece is rattling, if I push up on the plastic right above my head where the roof handle is and apply pressure while driving, the rattle goes away. Now my debate, a car with 18,000KM, do I just take the interior piece off my self and put it some foam tape and be done with it....or try and see what the dealer will do about it first?!?
anyone ever remove the roof handle before? It looks like I need to take that off first in order to pull down the plastic panel...about 4ft long by 4" deep..(handle goes into it).

yeah, I think it is a dealer thing as well ... just in case there is some other little thing to pop up ... I know some people like to do their own thing, but I like a) the dealer to be aware just in case it is something a lot of people are having a problem with and it helps to have numbers or b) there is some trick to something that I thought would be simpe

that said, you sound like you know what you are doing, so it probably would be okay for you.

i had a 370Z convertible before i got my 2013 ss convertible. there will always be some wind noise.but rattles and other things that drives me crazy. so my SS is great. question though is there a big difference between the hardtop and the convertible vs wind noise. i have never driven the hardtop just wondering...
