How much power is too much?

Looking to take my vert to the next level and wonder what power levels guys/gals have taken there verts to. Any issues? I have seen 700hp 4 gens verts with braces and no known issues. Looking at taking mine to the 650 range. Anybody have experience with 5th gens in this power range?

The driveline will need some work to reliably handle that output level. DS, axles, clutch (TC if an A6). The fuel system can't support that without some mods... You are pushing the boundaries of the stock con-rods/pistons at levels over 600whp. YRMV. Enjoy the journey!

I have 580 to the wheels and that's plenty enough. The ONLY time I get to fully use it is at the track. I would grab a whipple kit, headers, exhaust and custom tune.

I would LOVE to add a cam, headers and a tune to my SS but im too **** chicken to do it because im thinking someone would probably end up breaking because of that cam, ive read alot of people adding cams and then blowing the motor....

It's all in the research. If you are not doing it yourself you just need to find the right mechanic. Then, IT IS ALL IN THE TUNE! The tune is the most critical part...
