False advertisement? That's a pretty strong claim, libelous (which is illegal) if not true.

I don't see where you can make a claim of false advertisement... They are simply stating the methodology they use and their belief of a superior product compared to the Mustang. The problem in my eyes is that the roofs spend a lot of time in the open position where when the car is in motion it causes rubbing and marks and they don't test that way. ... Then as with anything, time and miles cause leaks etc. ...

He's basing this on a sample size of ONE CAR...his.
A sample size of ONE is insignificant.

...a little light reading: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sample...pothesis_tests

Stating that it is a false advertisement, then not providing any data to support that can be defamation of character...just sayin.

I personally didn't see any issues with that commercial, or their claims. I would like to know what makes it false advertising.

He's just crabbing 'cause his dealer's having a hard time fixing his car.

...it's still libel though.

If you follow the complaints that are documented, and are aware of the lawsuits due to the concerns, the advertisement makes a claim of every Camaro passing consumers desire not to have water problems , rattles, wind noise these are the very concerns that are being a problem to the owners.

(sigh)

Endlessly complaining on a forum does nothing but waste time and bandwidth.

If you think you have grounds, pony up for an attorney.

Give it a rest.

I don't know if I'd be adding anything to this post.....but here I go....

My convertible is quiet....very quiet....no rattles at all. Friends had asked if I test drove with top up(I hadn't) I didn't understand why...they said convertibles in general are known to have lots of rattling and noises.

I prefer the Camaro convertible top compared to the Mustang for 2 reasons....
1- Chevy uses a fabric top on Camaros compared to a vinyl top Ford uses on Mustangs
2- The Camaro has 1 center latch to release to operate the top. Mustang has 2 latches...one on driver side...other on passenger side. I would have to get out of the car to release the latch on passenger side(I had a Mustang vert for a month when Cami had body work last year)
3- No leaking from my roof. Minor problem....Chevy has had to replace weather stripping on drivers side twice since I've had my car....very simple fix.

Convertibles are a different "breed" than coupes. They do require more involved care. I took the time to fabric coat(a scotch guard specific for fabric tops) as soon as I bought my car. This help to guard against possible leaks.

After buying my 2013 vert....I learned about the issues that were being experienced by 2011 and 2012 vert owners. Chevy knew of issues too...they DID make some changes to the 2013 and newer convertibles.

Like I initially said...don't know if this has anything to do with the initial post...but I just had to add my opinion for what it's worth

2013 2LT/ RS Blue Ray Metallic VERT..."Cami"
2010 Grabber Blue Mustang VERT......."Stella Blue"
