Z28 or Supercharged SS?

Sounds like the Z28 is really no more than an SS with a supercharger, I say go with the whipple and save 10 k and have your own Z28, I only Owe 14 k on my SS, and already have 23 k miles. Dont need to increase the monthly payment. 6 k on a supercharger sounds good to me!

Good way to look at it. But Z28 sure sounds sweet to the ears. IMO

You talking about the ZL1? I have not seen any details on Z28 yet.

I take it you are talking about ZL1 instead of Z28 and it all depends. Do you care about the warranty etc? Are you a stickler for the numbered stigma (like many 4thgen SS owners posting their SS's "number"), or do you just want a faster car with cheaper notes? That's about what it will boil down to. It will not be just an SS with a blower, it will be a car with a motor built and tuned to handle the boost with warranty and from early speculation the shocks, brakes, and other performance bits will be present as well. Sure you can "tune" your car to do everything it will and more but it all comes down to again do you want it to be warrantied to do what it does or have a platform for even more?

agree w/ slims00...not really just an SS w/ a supercharger....the LSA is better built for boost than the LS3, plus you'll get an upgraded trans, clutch, rear, axles, driveshaft, suspension and brakes, they've also said the wheels are lighter, plus the other goodies/bells and whistles....and 550+ hp w/ a warranty isn't bad either.

Keep in mind that no official price has been released which really is "make or break" in this discussion. If it's under 50k it becomes really tempting instead of dumping $$$ into my SS for a SC and other supporting parts.

BUT....there still is no Z/28.

The ZL1 is defintley not just an SS with a supercharger. It has alot more going into it than that.

when/if the Z28 comes out, i doubt it will even be supercharged. more than likely N/A. but the ZL1 is supercharged, yes. but like they all have said, way more than just strapping a supercharger on a 6.2.

Brixton Forged
CM10 Wheels IN STOCK!!! RF7 SOON!!!!

What's with all the references to ZR1? Aren't we talking about the ZL1?

I meant ZL1. Whats another wrong name? We've called it Z28 ZR1 and ZL1 in this thread.
Z71?
